Will a 3-inch tip fit my standard exhaust pipe?
Exhaust tips are categorized by their inlet size. If your car has a standard 2.5-inch pipe, you need a tip with a 2.5-inch inlet and a 3-inch outlet. Always measure your tailpipe's outside diameter before ordering to ensure a seamless fit.
What is the difference between 304 and 409 stainless steel tips?
304 Stainless Steel is the premium choice for tips because it has a higher chromium and nickel content, allowing it to hold a mirror-like polish and resist "tea-staining" or surface rust much better than 409 grade.
Do I need a professional to install these?
Most of our premium 3-inch tips are weld-on, which provides the cleanest look and most secure fit. We recommend installation by a professional exhaust shop or a competent DIYer with a MIG/TIG welder. Some clamp-on options may be available for specific models.
How do I keep my stainless steel or black tips looking new?
For polished stainless, a regular wipe-down with a dedicated metal polish will maintain the shine. For black or carbon tips, avoid abrasive cleaners; simple soapy water is usually enough to remove carbon buildup and road grime without damaging the coating.
